On the day that would have been his son Jett’s 30th birthday, John Travolta paid a touching homage to his late son by posting a touching message on Instagram.
His son Jett, whom he had with his late wife Kelly Preston, passed away in 2009 at the age of 16 after banging his head on a bathtub while having a seizure. Jett’s death was ruled an accident.
Alongside a black and white snapshot of the two of them, the Grease star wrote, “My dearest Jetty, I miss you more than words can describe. I keep you in my thoughts each and every day. Have a wonderful birthday! Sincerely, your Father”
Jett, who was born in 1992, has a history of seizures and was diagnosed with Kawasaki illness when she was an infant. Later on, Jett’s parents disclosed the fact that he has autism. A member of the family passed away while they were on vacation at their vacation house located at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island.
Jett was the most magnificent kid that two parents could ever ask for, and he lighted up the lives of everyone he encountered. In a statement that was made following his passing, John Travolta and Kelly Preston wrote: “Jett lit up the lives of everyone he touched.”
“It breaks our hearts that the time we were able to spend with him was so fleeting. For the rest of our lives, we are going to hold dear the time that we were able to spend with him.
After a prolonged struggle with breast cancer that lasted for two years, Preston passed away in July 2020 at the age of 57.
Kelly’s love and life will be remembered forever, as will John Travolta’s statement from the time, which read as follows: I will be taking some time to be there for my children who have lost their mother, so please forgive me in advance if you don’t hear from us for a bit. I will be taking some time to be there for my children who have lost their mother. But I want you to know that I will be able to sense the outpouring of love that you have for us in the next weeks and months as we get better.
