Tributes have flooded in for Lisa Marie Presley following her death yesterday, January 12, 2023 in Los Angeles.
As per tragic reports, the 54-year-old was rushed to hospital after suffering cardiac arrest. According to TMZ, Presley’s housekeeper found her unresponsive in the bathroom. Her ex-husband, Danny Keough, performed CPR until paramedics arrived.
Presley reportedly went into “full arrest”. Her mother, Priscilla, later confirmed the news in a Facebook post, saying that Lisa Marie was “rushed to the hospital,” but was “receiving the best care.”
“Please keep her and our family in your prayers. We feel the prayers from around the world, and ask for privacy during this time,” Priscilla wrote.

Sadly, it was later announced that Lisa Marie had passed away.
Priscilla released a statement, saying: “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.
“She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment.”
Social media has since erupted with tributes for Elvis’s only child, with stars such as John Travolta, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, and Octavia Spencer mourning Lisa Marie’s loss.
Rita Wilson wrote on Instagram: “Our hearts are broken with the sudden and shocking passing of Lisa Marie Presley tonight. Tom and I had spent some time with the family during the Elvis movie promotional tour. Lisa Marie was so honest and direct, vulnerable, in a state of anticipation about the movie.
“She spoke so eloquently about her father, what the movie meant to her, that it was a celebration of her dad.”
Wilson added: “She had a sultry voice, a power and tenderness, that I have always loved. Our hearts and our prayers go out to Riley, Harper, Finley, Danny and Priscilla.
“A mother should never have to lose a child. Lisa Marie lost her precious son Benjamin, Priscilla loses her only daughter. It’s too much. Sending love to the family, prayers for peace and strength.”
John Travolta, meanwhile, offered a heartfelt tribute on his own Instagram, sharing a photo of Lisa Marie along with the caption: “Lisa baby girl, I’m so sorry. I’ll miss you but I know I’ll see you again. My love and heart goes out to Riley, Priscilla, Harper and Finley.”
Lisa Marie was last seen in public at the weekend, where she was part of the audience to see Austin Butler take home a Golden Globe for his portrayal of her father in Elvis.
Though she didn’t post often to her social media accounts, Lisa Marie admitted that she had been struggling to cope with the grief of losing her son, Benjamin, to suicide in 2020.
“This is not a comfortable subject for anyone, and it is most unpopular to talk about,” she wrote in an essay for People. “But if we’re going (to) make any progress on the subject, grief has to get talked about.
“Death is part of life whether we like it or not — and so is grieving. Grief does not stop or go away in any sense, a year, or years after the loss. Grief is something you will have to carry with you for the rest of your life, in spite of what certain people or our culture wants us to believe. You do not “get over it,” you do not “move on,” period.”
